Transfer your SharePoint 2013 workflows to Power Automate now

SharePoint 2013 Workflows No Longer Supported

Microsoft will end support for SharePoint 2013 workflows (SPD2013WF) on April 11, 2023. This means that after that date, there will be no more (security) updates or support. Note: This may also affect Nintex workflows.

This isn’t really new information, as Microsoft has been phasing out this functionality for several years. For new tenants/environments, it has already been automatically disabled for some time. But now the official support for the workflows will end.

Power Automate

To ensure that your organization’s processes continue to run smoothly, we (and Microsoft!) recommend migrating your workflows to Power Automate as soon as possible. Power Automate is the modern and future-proof solution that allows you to easily automate all workflows.

You can switch to Power Automate by either migrating your workflows or recreating them. The latter might be useful if you were already planning to review or optimize your workflows. In the video below, we explain how you can automate in 10 minutes.

Are you unsure whether your organization is using SharePoint 2013 workflows? You can check this using the Microsoft 365 Assessment Tool. The Workflow Report from this tool will show you exactly which sites and lists are using the old workflows and whether you can upgrade them to Power Automate.
